Why we built it

Most budgeting apps today are subscriptions that sit between you and your bank. They ask for your online-banking login, keep a copy of every transaction on their servers, and stop working when you stop paying. Mint showed what happens when such a service is shut down: millions of people lost their budgeting tool overnight.

BudgetForge AI takes the older, simpler approach. It is a desktop program. It stores your budget in a file on your PC. It never needs an account, a connection or a card. The "AI" part, the spending insights, runs on your machine too.

What we care about

• Privacy by architecture, not by policy. We cannot leak data we never receive.
• Proven methods. Envelope and zero-based budgeting have worked for decades. The app makes them fast, not fancy.
• No lock-in. Everything exports to CSV, always.
• Honest marketing. We publish real prices for competitors, real limitations of our own app, and plain-language install notes, including the SmartScreen warning.

Who is behind it

BudgetForge AI is developed and published by QWF Group LLC, a small software company in the United States. We also build other privacy-focused Windows utilities. Support is handled by the people who build the app.
